Jamie Hixon
Jamie Hixon (Miranda Frayle) received her BFA in Theatre from UCSB. While studying at the university she appeared in Wanda’s Visit, Todo Cerebral, Much Ado About Nothing, and the musical review Can I See Your I.D.? Here at the Ranch she has played Felicity in Farndale, Madeline Mockingbird in The Face on the Barroom Floor, Susan Hollister in The Murder Room, and Wanda in Suds—a show which she also musically directed and choreographed. Other local credits include Pullman Car Hiawatha, Woody Allen’s God, and SBYT’s productions of Over Here! and Li’l Abner. She has lent her voice to many vocal groups including the holiday caroling group The Sugar Plums and two swing bands, Savior Faire and The Starlighters. Jamie has worked as a teacher, vocal coach, choreographer, and costumer for many local companies and schools. Currently she is teaching drama at Dos Pueblos High School and directing their fall musical Kiss Me, Kate. Jamie sends her love and thanks to Dan and her family. |
