Deborah Bertling
Deborah Bertling makes
her Circle Bar B debut as Kitty in “Don’t
Mention My Name.” Last summer she appeared in “The Man Who Came to
Dinner” at the Garvin Theater.
Most of Deborah’s stage experience has been opera-related, having sung the roles of Kate Pinkerton in “Madame Butterfly,” Elvira in “Italian Girl in Algiers,” Dew Fairy in “Hansel & Gretel” and Annina in “La Traviata,” to name a few. She has appeared in concerts along the Central Coast and appears each summer at Arts & Letters Café’s “Opera and Broadway Under the Stars.” Deborah enjoys teaching opera in local schools with Opera Santa Barbara’s outreach program. She is also a music appreciation docent for Community Arts Music Association at Cleveland Elementary. For the past five years, Deborah has been President of Performing Arts Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit that assists Santa Barbara area young musicians. She is part of the Santa Barbara Lamplighters a cappella quartet. |
