Joseph Beck

Joseph Beck (Director) holds a BA in Theater Arts from Cornell University, and is pleased to be directing his first show at the Circle Bar B.  He first appeared onstage at the Circle Bar B as a recent graduate of Dos Pueblos High School in the summer of 1994, and has been aching to direct here ever since.

He was last seen behind the keyboard of a '57 Chevy in last season's production of Pump Boys and DinettesHe was recently fortunate enough to head back to Goleta after ten years of living in New York and Los Angeles.  Favorite past directing projects include The Pirates of Penance with the Cornell Savoyards, A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Raven Playhouse in North Hollywood, and The Question, The Edge of Allegiance cycle and The Merchant of Venice with the MET Theatre Company in Hollywood

It's an honor and a thrill to be back home making theater with his stage mum and dad.  He is, as always, deeply grateful to his lovely and multi-talented wife Leesa who not only appears onstage in this production, but also designed the lights and the poster.  He is also indebted to a wonderfully talented and professional cast; like his three-year-old daughter Hanna, he thinks they all did a great job and are hilarious.
