Adam Phillips recently moved to Santa Barbara from New York and holds a BSA in musical theater from the SUNY Fredonia School of Music. Since moving to town, he has performed as the tenor soloist in Bach's "Magnificat" and Handel's Utrecht "Te Deum." He has also performed in Opera Santa Barbara's production of L'Italiana in Algieri. He has performed with Adelfos, Quire of Voices, The Choral Society. He is a cantor at the Santa Barbara Mission. Other recent roles include Jamie in The Last Five Years, for which he received a New York Artie nomination for best actor in a musical. Other recent roles include Jesus in Godspell, the Prodigal Son in Bemjamin Britten's The Parable of the Prodigal Son, Antony in Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, John Hinckley in Assassins, Wayne in State Fair, Marco in Gilbert and Sullivan's Gondoliers, and Paolino in Il Matrimonio Segreto by Cimerosa.
