Emma-Jane Huerta

Emma-Jane Huerta was born in London, England, where she received her theatrical training. She is a playwright, director and actress who has lived here for almost 20 years. She is the Artistic Director of Upstarts Youth Theatre, and runs the theatre arts program at Peabody Charter School. Twelve of her plays have been produced, three of them in Spanish - she is currently in rehearsal with Upstarts for their next production, The Six Million Dollar Monster, which she wrote for the Company.
She was first introduced to the "Farndale" plays of McGillivray and Zerlin in the early 90's as an actress, when she appeared as Mrs Reece in Ensemble Theatre's production of Farndale/Xmas. In the next decade she went on to perform in three separate productions of this play with Ensemble!
She is very proud to now be working on this play as a director.
She lives in Santa Barbara with her son, Nico, who attends SBJHS, and artist Richard McLaughlin.
We are all proud to have Emma-Jane directing our play, The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Dramatic Society’s Production of “A Christmas Carol”
