All Rose wants for her son is what every Italian mother living in Brooklyn wants; a son with direction and a career; after all, he IS 35 years old! Why can’t he be like his best friend Vinny who owns his own restaurant (and owes $50,000.00 to the mob). Enter Francis, a young soprano from the mid west studying opera at Julliard who rents the attic room in Rose’s house. Romance, humor and music abound in this musical homage to Brooklyn, opera, Italian food and the mob.
