A staid New York psychiatrist finds himself in a heap of hot water after he has written a play about a very sexually charged young woman. The trouble is that no one was supposed to see the play especially because the woman in the play may or may not be his former patient and the lead character (a psychiatrist) may or may not be him. Throw in a fashionable wife yearning for a spark in her marriage and a “best friend” who might be taking a little too much interest in the wife’s “yearning”. Oh, and did we mention that the former patient just happens to be a publisher? Compromising positions and misunderstandings abound in this very funny farce.
