Bringing you the BEST of Four Decades

The Drunkard or Down with Demon Drink

Book, music and lyrics by Brian J. Burton; Stage direction and choreography by Miller James

April 1st - May 15th

The oldest American melodrama represents the ’70s decade. The show is dedicated to Jim Brown, our host of the Circle Bar B Dinner Theatre since 1971. Good triumphs over evil in this musical melodrama set at the turn of the century in England. Fun for the entire family, audience participation is highly encouraged. In the spirit of the melodrama theatrical style, an olio will be presented intermission. Join us for a look back at the ’70s in music and skit form before Act 2 begins, and the fate of the poor drunkard is revealed.

Bullshot Crummond

Written by Diz White, Alan Sherman and Ron House; Directed by Jim Sirianni

May 28th - July 10th

A parody of low budget ’30s detective movies this stylized British comedy represents the ’80s decade. German villain Otto Von Bruno and his fiendish wife Lenya battle Bullshot Crummond for the favor of the lovely Rosemary Fenton whose father is being tortured in a dark and gloomy castle. Exploding dynamite, sword fights, crashing planes and car chases make this comedy the perfect family fun.

It Runs in the Family

Written by Ray Cooney; Directed by Joseph Beck

July 22nd - September 4th

Master farceur Cooney has been the favorite British playwright of the Circle Bar B for the past three decades. This comedy which is our choice for the ’90s decade starred the Circle Bar B founder Janet Caballero and was her favorite British comedy. This show is not only dedicated to her, but directed by Joseph Beck who played the teenage punk rocker son in the ’90s production. The cast represents many of your favorite Circle Bar B actors and reunites David Couch and Sean O’Shea (Sherlock’s Last Case) in the leading roles. Set in a hospital, this play contains the usual assortment of farcical nuts running in and out of doors and mistaking everyone for someone else.

Sylvia

Written by A.R. Gurney

September 16th - October 30th

Our final show of the season is the 2000 representative. We are delighted to reunite the original cast of our 2004 production: Brian Harwell, Jean Hall, Rodney Baker, and Tiffany Story as Sylvia.

Kate and Greg have moved to Manhattan after 20 years of child rearing in the suburbs. They are both at crossroads in their careers and life in general. Enter Sylvia, a streetwise Labradoodle that Greg picks up in the park. The fur flies as Sylvia becomes a rival for affection and attention. The marriage is put in serious jeopardy until, after a series of hilarious and touching complications, a compromise is reached and Sylvia becomes a valued part of their lives. Sylvia is a beautiful, funny, touching and profound play.
